    Prerequisite: None. Recommendation: GEOL P110, or ERSC P110. Total lecture 54 hours. An introduction to the geology of California, including tectonic processes, geologic structures, physiographic provinces, local rocks and minerals, landforms, natural resources, geologic history, and natural hazards in the state. The course is designed as an introductory survey and designed for those students not necessarily majoring in physical sciences and engineering. Course is approved for pass/no pass grading option.
