    Prerequisite: None. Lecture/discussion 108 hours. A layered approach to English P101A. Offers students a slower-paced, incremental approach to Expository English. The study of writing, including paragraph development, essay organization, logic, writing process, and research paper writing. Students will read at least two book length works. Instruction emphasizes development of essays utilizing a variety of rhetorical modes and culminates in an 8-10 page argumentative research paper. Students write a minimum of 8,000 words.(A/CSU/UC)
