    Description
    Prerequisite: Appropriate English placement as determined by the Porterville College multiple measures process. Lecture/discussion 72 hours. The study of writing, including paragraph development, essay organization, logic, writing process, and research paper writing. Readings in a variety of rhetorical modes used as models for writing. Instruction and experience in writing research papers. Students will read at least two book length works and write a minimum of 8,000 words, including an argumentative research paper.
