A course intended to prepare students to successfully contend with the rigorous demands of transfer level academic writing across the curriculum. Instruction emphasizes development of 500-750 word essays utilizing a variety of rhetorical modes. Students use evidence to support clearly stated positions.Students experience researching and writing a reference paper using MLA documentation style.Students will read at least one book length work and write a minimum of 6,000 words. This course is also offered online.
