    Prerequisite: None. Total Lecture 54 hours. This course is an introduction to environmental issues from a scientific perspective, focusing on Earth processes, the interaction between humans and these processes, and the role of science in finding sustainable solutions. Topics include human population and consumption, ecological principles, biodiversity, climate change, sustainability, energy resources, water resources, air and water pollution, and solid waste management. Equivalent to BIOL P115. (A/CSU/UC)
