    Description
    Prerequisite: None. Total lecture 54 hours, total laboratory 54 hours. An introduction to the general concepts of biology as related to the chemical nature of life, the cell, molecular genetics, heredity and reproduction, ecology, diversity of life, and evolution. Includes a survey of organismal structure and function, and the phylogenetic relationships of major groups. Special reference to the bearing of biology on human life. Primarily intended for students majoring in liberal studies for teacher education and to meet general education biological science requirements.
