    Description
    Provides entry-level knowledge and skills required for the role of perioperative nurses. Includes an introduction to perioperative nursing through all phases of surgery, surgical asepsis, surgical patient safety, the foundations of surgery, and surgical anesthesia. Preparation for students for entry into the perioperative nursing specialty. After completing this course, the student will be ready to function as an entry-level perioperative nurse. Pass/No Pass grading. Total of 36 hours lecture and 108 hours laboratory.
