Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course focuses on the rehearsal and performance of chamber music literature for mixed-instrument ensembles, with an emphasis on string-inclusive groups (e.g., string quartets, piano trios, wind quintets with strings). Students develop collaborative, technical, and interpretive skills through coached rehearsals, score analysis, and public performances. Repertoire spans Baroque to contemporary styles, emphasizing balance, intonation, and stylistic authenticity. Evaluated public performances are required. For students playing at the college level. Maximum credit 4 units. 1 unit each semester. Maximum of 4 enrollments allowed in the Chamber Music Family: MUSC 038C , 044 , 057AEI, 070ABCDE, 082, 133E.
