    Rehearsal and performance of music in the Latin jazz idiom. A conjunto (smaller band) typically consisting of 3-4 horns, rhythm section, timbales, congas, bongos, hand percussionists, and optional vocalist. Recommended for students interested in performing in a Latin jazz ensemble. Required instructional trips. Maximum credit 8 units, 2 units each semester. Maximum of 4 enrollments in the Jazz Ensemble Family: MUSC 056 , 057B , 057D , 057E , 057F , 133D . Total of 18 hours lecture, 36 hours laboratory, and 18 hours TBA laboratory. This course may be scheduled using the "To Be Arranged" (TBA) scheduling format.
