    Description
    Study of chromatic harmony and form through writing and analysis. Topics include: applied/secondary dominant and leading-tone chords; modulation to closely related keys; binary, ternary, and composite forms; Baroque contrapuntal practices; modal borrowing; Neapolitan and augmented-sixth chords. Total of 54 hours lecture.
