    This course is a historical survey of the United States, from Indigenous North America to the end of Reconstruction. The course also introduces students to historical reasoning skills. This is an honors course. Emphasis placed on exploring diverse historical perspectives. This enriched course is designed for the Honors Program allowing more student-directed discussion and more extensive writing assignments. No credit if taken after HIST C1001, HIST 007A, or HIST 007AH. Formerly HIST 007AH. Total of 54 hours lecture.
