    Description
    Concepts and issues related to effectively teaching diverse learners in today's schools (Kindergarten-8th grade). Topics include learning about the political and historical beginnings of schools in the U.S., teaching standards and expectations, teaching for equity, technology in the classroom, and learning strategies across different content-areas. Requires 45-hour structured field practice assignment in a public elementary classroom that represents California's diverse student population. Total of 54 hours of lecture.
