- Introduction to the ethical and professional responsibilities of ASL-English interpreters. Emphasizes the application of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Code of Professional Conduct (CPC), ethical decision-making models, and analysis of real-world dilemmas. Exploration of interpreter-client relationships, professional boundaries, and strategies for ethical reasoning and integrity in diverse interpreting settings. Total of 54 hours lecture.
