Transfers ToCSUDescriptionExploration of architectural education and the design professions through topics such as design, drawing, contemporary philosophies of design, and theory. Study of the past, present, and future of the architectural profession and an examination of various related design professions including landscape architecture, interior design, industrial design, city planning, and urban design. Survey of the various roles these designers play in effecting the built environment as individuals and how they interrelate as a design team. Observation of significant architectural examples will present architecture as a unified expression of an architect's dream. Required field trips.
