    Identification, growth habits, culture and ornamental use of landscape and indoor plants adapted to climates of California. Plants emphasized will come from the current California Association of Nurseries and Garden Centers (CANGC) and Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) Certification Tests Plant Lists. Covers those plants best observed and studied in the spring of the year. Plant materials from southern California will also be included, with special emphasis on drought tolerant plants. Required: Instructional field trips. See Class Schedule for details. No credit if taken after ENVS 012. Formerly ENVS 012. Total of 36 hours lecture and 54 hours laboratory.
