Rules, codes, regulations, and laws associated with working on high voltage vehicles as well as safety and training in the areas of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be addressed. High Voltage (HV) safety training in the areas of diagnostics and servicing of batteries including battery degradation testing of Electric Vehicles (BEV), Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV), and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) and Hydrogen powered Vehicles will be taught. The course will also include vehicle systems designs and the High Voltage (HV) electrical power fundamentals that control the operation and diagnostics of these systems.
