Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionThis course introduces students to the foundations of artificial intelligence (AI) with a focus on building the skills needed to understand, evaluate, and use AI responsibly. Students will explore generative AI tools, emerging AI agents, and the role of AI in everyday life. Emphasis is placed on developing critical thinking to assess the capabilities and limitations of AI, identify bias, and separate fact from hype. Ethical considerations—including privacy, fairness, accountability, and the social impacts of AI—are examined through case studies and discussion. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with practical literacy skills to engage thoughtfully with AI technologies across academic, professional, and personal contexts.
