    Description
    This course is one of six classes required for the Pre-Vocational Certificate of Completion. The course helps students develop self-advocacy skills in the home, community, and workplace. Emphasis is placed on identifying and effectively communicating needs. Students will conduct a personal self-evaluation, learn to identify resources to enhance decision-making, practice goal-setting, and develop effective communication skills with various individuals. Personal safety awareness is developed with an emphasis on proactive steps to avoid dangerous situations at home, online, in the workplace, and in the community.
