This course prepares students for future journalism classes and a journalism degree by providing foundational knowledge of journalism content creation. The course covers media law and ethics, AP Style, research, reporting, source cultivation and interviewing. It also introduces students to news and feature writing skills while continually emphasizing the need for verified, fact-based information. Lastly, it explores various job options that require these journalism skills.
