    Description
The course "Afro-Latino History & Culture" aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the diversity, historical and contemporary conditions of communities of African descent in Latin America and the Caribbean. Through an interdisciplinary approach, this class examines processes of identity formation, cultural transformation, and social activism among Afro-Latino Americans across national boundaries. The course will examine the historical and cultural implications of the growing Afro-Latino presence and how they challenge the dominant conceptions of Race, Ethnicity and Diaspora.
