    Description
    In this course, students receive instruction in academic reading and writing, including writing processes, effective use of language, analytical thinking, and the foundations of academic research. This course includes embedded support. Practice in expository and argumentative writing based on analytical reading and critical thinking is emphasized, as are topics such as methods of invention, organization and development, and the elements of style. This enhanced version of ENGL C1000 offers extra instruction, practice, and support to help students develop college-level composition skills. Students who receive credit for ENGL C1000E may not also receive credit for ENGL C1000.
