Students will examine a teacher's role in supporting development and engagement for all young children. Provides strategies for developmentally appropriate practice based on observation and assessments across the curriculum, including pedagogical philosophies, curricular content areas, play and creativity, guidance, and development of social-emotional, communication, and cognitive skills. Students will use knowledge of children's development and theories of learning and development to support the creation of indoor and outdoor learning environments and plans.
