Students will adhere to Deaf cultural values and communication norms to negotiate signing environments. Eye contact when signing with a partner is critical. In addition to activities and conversation practice, students can use technology and workbooks to demonstrate and assess use of basic ASL grammar. Class activities are designed to provide students the opportunity to practice vocabulary and grammar taught in ASL 205 while adhering to Deaf communication norms. At this level, students will practice interactions with peers as well as with the teacher or members of the Deaf community.
