    Description
Introduction to Theatre provides an overview of world theatre history and practice. Readings and class activities cover aspects of production such as acting, directing, design, and playwriting as they are practiced throughout the world. Students will examine how theatre traditions have been created and adapted, especially in the contemporary global community. Students will also survey different periods, styles and genres of theatre through play reading, discussion, films and viewing and critiquing live theatre, including required attendance of theatre productions. Note: Suitable, alternative arrangements will be made to accommodate students for whom attending live theater productions presents a hardship.(C-ID THTR 111)
