    Description
    In this course students will analyze and understand their own attitudes toward caring for older adults as they examine issues and trends related to health and quality of life of older adults. Understand the normal physiologic changes of aging compared to changes of acute and chronic illness or injury. Utilize standardized tools to assess physiologic, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual functioning in older adults. Begin to apply the nursing process in the care of older adults with multisystem and chronic health issues and develop health educational materials addressing the unique health concerns of aging adults.
