Description: This course is designed to develop fundamental skills in combating aircraft fires by providing the students with a thorough understanding of Airport Familiarization; Aircraft Familiarization; Rescue and Firefighting Personnel Safety; Emergency Communications on the Airport; Use of Fire Hose, Nozzles, Turrets, and Other Appliances; Application of Extinguishing Agents; Emergency Aircraft Evacuation Assistance; Firefighting Operations; Adapting and Using Structural Rescue and Firefighting Equipment for Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting; Aircraft Cargo Hazards; Dangerous Goods; Familiarization with Firefighters' Duties under the Airport Emergency Plan; Interior and Exterior Fire Attack Using a Live-Fire Simulator.
