    Description
This course is a comparative study of selected works, written both in English and in English translation, of literature from around the world. Selections include European, Middle Eastern, Asian, African, and other areas, from antiquity to the 17th century. Students will explore several influences that shape the authors' works which include a range of political, religious, social, cultural, and philosophical contexts.
