The core concepts of business design is the development of knowledge and hands-on experience to financial growth. Entrepreneurs in the 21st Century are leaders who are willing to take initiative, taking advantage of market opportunities by planning, organizing, and deploying resources, and utilizing innovation to create new or improving existing products or services. Students in this discipline will augment their potential for becoming significant contributors to the local, statewide, and national economy, creating new opportunities, while creating innovation and economic growth. Emphasis is placed on key areas of entrepreneurship: (1) attitudes, behaviors, and skill sets that make entrepreneurs successful; (2) validation, and execution of business opportunities; and (3) examining the strategy and outline to ensure there is a successful project-learning experience.
