    Description
    This course consists of the study of basic American Sign Language (ASL), deaf culture and the history of sign language. Students will learn the basic grammar and vocabulary of ASL, with an emphasis on both expressive and receptive skills, and use of total communication. Some stress will be placed on the educational, social, psychological and economic problems of deafness.
