    Prerequisite
    LE 227A24, POST certified basic law enforcement academy, or equivalent as determined by the Dean of Academy Instruction. NOTE: Approval of equivalent training is not a guarantee state regulatory or licensing agencies will also grant equivalency. This course is designed to provide California Peace Officers, as defined in Penal Code section 830.32, with training that meets the unique safety needs of a school environment/campus community at both K-12 public schools and community college levels. Student learning topics include laws and liability; tactical awareness; campus orientated policing and problem solving; de-escalation; conflict resolution; response to and management of an emergency situation; and the dynamics of student behavior.
