This course is designed to provide California Peace Officers, as defined in Penal Code section 830.32, with training that meets the unique safety needs of a school environment/campus community at both K-12 public schools and community college levels. Student learning topics include laws and liability; tactical awareness; campus orientated policing and problem solving; de-escalation; conflict resolution; response to and management of an emergency situation; and the dynamics of student behavior.
