Transfers ToCSUDescriptionAccepted For Credit: CSU Offered: Fall Semester, Every Year This course examines ethical theory; practice; ethical and professional role and responsibility; and decision making in the field of sign language interpreting by applying the Code of Professional Conduct (CPC) developed by the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) and the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), the Demand Control Schema (DCS), and reflective practice, especially in consideration of the Deaf people's lived experiences with interpreters and ethics. This course aims to prepare DCIPP students for the ethical portion of the national certification exam. (GR)
