    Accepted For Credit: CSU Offered: Fall Semester, Every Year This course practices English discourse analysis with attention to language variation in multicultural communities to describe how language is used to construct meaning and identities in social contexts. Discourse structure, genre, register, prosody, cohesion, turn-taking are illuminated in exploration of intercultural and intracultural exchanges. Language annotation is practiced in lab for identification of discourse features. (GR)
