Biological, psychological, and sociocultural aspects of women's health are explored along with health services, health education, mental health, and healthcare delivery systems. Social determinants of health and health inequities are examined, as well as contemporary issues relating to LGBTQ+ rights, racism, ageism, gender stereotypes and gender roles, politics, and the role of women in the family, workforce, community, and society. The course also touches on topics such as sexuality, nutrition, exercise, rape and battery, aging, occupational health, and the effects on women in American culture. (GC) C-ID PH 116
