    Prerequisite
    FT-150A5; Certified basic EMT certificate or equivalent as determined by the Dean of Academy Instruction. NOTE: Approval of equivalent training is not a guarantee state regulatory or licensing agencies will also grant equivalency. This course is designed for students to apply their paramedic knowledge and skills in a clinical setting as an intern responding on a 911 ambulance to ill and injured patients while being instructed and evaluated by a field preceptor. Students have the task of initiating, providing, and directing entire emergency patient care while under the supervision of a preceptor. This ambulance field internship is required for certification as an EMT- Paramedic in California. (GR)
