- This course emphasizes CAL-OSHA (California General Industrial Safety Orders) standards and benefits of accident prevention. Students gain an understanding of personal protective clothing and equipment; industrial housekeeping; and safety when handling and storing materials, tools, and equipment. The implications of accidents such as loss of productivity; morale; and real and intangible costs relating to accidents are also discussed. (GC)
