By performing in-depth studies of authors and texts, students view literature as a reflection of Chicano/Latine life and as a means of engaging with theories and philosophies of the fields of Latine and Ethnic Studies. Select works of literature highlight concepts of self- determination, decolonization, anti-racism, and immigration rights.
