    Offered: Fall Semester, Every Year This course gives students general information about the field of interpreting. Topics include history of the profession; key skills required to be a successful interpreter; an overview of key models and definitions; the demand for interpreting in a variety of settings; ethical practice; the code of professional conduct; and the evaluation and certification of interpreters.
