Emphasis is placed on the study of Chicana/o/x history, identity, and culture from U.S. acquisition of the southwest in 1848 to the present day. Students analyze Chicana/o/x contributions to the political, social, economic, and cultural development of the United States. 54.00 hours lecture. (Letter grade or Pass/No Pass option)
