    Description: Fundamentals of kinematics and kinetics of particles and rigid bodies. Velocity, acceleration, relative motion, work, energy, impulse, and momentum. Topics include kinematics of particle motion; Newton's second law, work-energy and momentum methods; kinematics of planar motions of rigid bodies; work-energy and momentum principles for rigid body motion; Further development of mathematical modeling and problem-solving. Vector mathematics where appropriate. Introduction to mechanical vibrations. 54.00 hours lecture. (Letter grade only)
