    Description: Foundational skills training for maintenance technicians. Introduction to the basic maintenance and repair methods used in the facility maintenance profession. Preventative maintenance methods and strategies are explored as students receive training in the use of electronic measuring devices, meters, and scopes. Topics include activities focused upon basic electrical skills, basic pneumatics and hydraulics, basic mechanical skills, basic plumbing, basic principles of refrigeration, refrigerants, refrigeration components, preventative and corrective maintenance. Completion of this basic course will prepare students for a job as a Facility Maintenance Technician. 54.00 hours lecture and 54.00 hours laboratory.
