Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course provides an overview of child welfare services. The course reviews the history, mission, and scope of child welfare services (i.e., prevention, investigation, court process, out of home care, emancipation, and adoption services) and practices. This will include identifying child maltreatment, assessing family needs and strengths and risk. Best-practice interventions for children, youth, and families including assessment, case planning, and case management and prevention services will be explored.
