Drawing upon artistic, philosophical, religious, social, historical, and political perspectives, this course examines the diverse customs, cultural beliefs, and long-standing history of self-governance and leadership among tribal nations. Students will also examine recent scholarship and social justice movements that focus on Indigenous resurgence, resilience, and futurity.
