The main topics covered are kinematics, Newtonian mechanics including translational and rotational statics and dynamics, universal gravitation, work, energy, momentum, fluid statics, dynamics, and oscillations. Experiments in the laboratory examine the basic laws of the mechanics of solids and fluids.
