    Description
    This course helps students develop a deeper enjoyment of music by cultivating an understanding of the basic elements of music and their combination into various forms, styles, and genres. The focus is on developing listening skills and gaining an appreciation for music from multiple historical periods through a survey of Western art music, tracing its development from the Middle Ages to the present.
