- This course provides the technical knowledge and practical skills to select and utilize appropriate clinical supplies to successfully perform venipuncture, capillary puncture and arterial draws. Topics covered in this course includes OSHA, HIPAA and CDC safety and compliance, blood and blood components, patient preparation, routine collection of blood and non-blood samples, specimen collection, labeling, processing, transportation, and chain of custody.
