Students analyze and justify relationships among two- and three-dimensional figures, apply measurement principles, model proportional and geometric problems, and explore transformations and symmetry. Emphasis is placed on using spatial reasoning, constructing and critiquing mathematical arguments, and connecting concepts to real-world and classroom contexts to support conceptual understanding for elementary learners.
