    Description
    This course is a survey of children's literature from picture books to novels including the history of children's literature. Students will examine literary elements developed in poetry and prose for children, visual elements in picture books and graphic novels, genres of children's literature, and literary approaches to analyzing the literature. They will also explore issues such as censorship, social justice, equity, cultural diversity, and identity in a variety of children's texts.
