    This course provides an overview of the methods, practices, and theory related to custodial supervision of incarcerated persons in Federal, State, and local correctional facilities. The course examines and considers the issues of custodial control and the interaction between the offender and the correctional employee. Other topics include the effects of violence, overcrowding, gangs, and substance abuse within the correctional system. (formerly CORR 102)
