    Explores a sociological perspective on social work, human services, and social welfare systems in the United States. Special attention is given to discussing the role of social work and social justice in contemporary issues including poverty, homelessness, hunger, unemployment, mental health, human trafficking, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer or Questioning+ (LGBTQ+) community, veterans, and other vulnerable populations.
