    Description
    Formerly MUS 11A Survey of music history and literature from antiquity to 1750, including cultural, intellectual and social influences, and provides an in-depth examination of the development of Western European music through analysis and synthesis of historical details and stylistic elements of the musical trends of the era. Lectures are augmented by sound recordings. Attending a live concert may be required.
